At What Cost Beauty?

Megalodon Mako Shark Tooth Fossil, Gem Polished (and fabulous): $41.50
Selection of Gray Miyukis in different (and properly agonized over) shades and finishes and Smoke Fireline: $23.94
Silver Wire (est): $10
Needles (sure to break half a pack): $1.70
Smaller assorted Shark Teeth Fossils (the hardest things in the world to find): $27
Time Spent shopping for supplies via the Internet where colors are questionable, sizes are skewed and it's hard to find something you've never tried to look for before: 6 hours
Estimated Time to complete Project: 10 hours
---
Learning more than you thought there was to know about shark's teeth, feeling positive that the resulting work of art will be worth every penny and second and ripping off an iconagraphic MasterCard commercial: Priceless:)
---
But seriously, this is the most expensive project!

  2. I think you forgot the blood from poked fingers and the aggrevation when things don't go the way you want, Sarah.

  4. mmm-- probably-- for sure I'll shoot the Mako tooth when it gets here. It's so pretty!

Ah, Marilyn, it's kind of like childbirth I think. Once it's done you forget about the pain-- till you're in the meddle of the next headache project!

    Thanks- glad you like!

  5. It's going to be another stunner, Sarah! I wish I had whatever it is that you have that lets you use such materials. But that's what makes your work yours and mine mine, I guess.

  6. CD-- I think so. I'd never get something as elegant and appealing as your cuffs if I were handed some Delicas and needed to make a pattern. I wouldn't even know where to start!

  7. Wow! That makes me feel better about MY last project. All I got was beads, but since I didn't have ANY of those colors when I started...it added up!

I can't wait to see your next challenge piece, Sarah!
