I'd been using some of my art beads anyway, and with the Art Bead Scene Challenge there's the added attention if you place in the challenge. The theme is 'A Dark and Stormy Night' and I have an awesome midnight blue and shiny black donut from RedCrowArts.
I wired it with decorative sterling spirals to antique metal beads and chunks of coal black ornamental stone, then attached that to a strand of hematite, lapis lazuli and labradorite, hematite 'e' beads and cut glass, blue seed beads, and black Czech disks with an aurora borealis finish. The clasp is another decorative sterling spiral worn to the front and side.
I may do it again too. It was kind of fun.
Then I made a bunch of earrings and bracelets in a middlish price range. They all have to be tagged and I haven't sat down and made myself do it yet. I only have three days left till the Bazaar and it *has* to be done by then!
I got my copy last night and it was simple and straightforward, but I enjoyed it so much! I really think it's going to be awesome! It announced that one of the Door Prizes for the Trunk Show will be a SandFibers cuff. Don't miss the chance to win that by simply attending the Show.
